Kufri is based around 18km away from the state capital Shimla (sometimes referred to its original name of Simla)
Kufri is a very small town with a very small market place and is very sleepy. Not many people travel to Kufri and it is generally only visited for the Hotel "Wildflower Hall' which is a shame as its people are extremely friendly and cannot do enough to help you.

You can get here, From Shimla, by the following methods
Bus
Taxi - These guys will stop at good viewpoints for you
Walk - it is only 18Kms and all uphill - I loved it I could stop when I wanted and take pictures awesome - there is a little market about half was up the hill selling fruit water and chai. The Bus doesn't always stop here, Taxis will stop here and you definitely will
