Shimla, the Capital City of Himachal Pradesh, was the summer garden of the British Administration in India - after we decided to move the capital from Calcutta to Delhi - we decided that Delhi was just too warm for the British administration so in the summer months the Administration would move north to Simla (Shimla), Himachal Pradesh. This can be seen by the very British styled houses and buildings within this beautiful hill station. |
