Fife - How Old ? | Fife - The Scottie Dog of Scotland |
Fife can trace its roots back to the Stone Age settlers, the Mesolithic folk - these people we mainly settling / roaming around the coastal regions where they collected shellfish from the vast coastline surrounding Fife.
Fife, known as the 'Scottie Dog's Head' of Scotland due to the shape of the kingdom was once home to the ancient capital of St. Andrews (also the birthplace of Golf) and you will find many Royal links to Fife from it's Castles to Households and much more - Fife truly is a Kingdom steeped in history. |
St. Andrews St. Andrews boast much of the regality of Fife and is home to St. Andrews University (Prince William was recently educated here and Scotlands oldest University) and is also the home of the game we know as Golf. |
