It is known as the Sultan Ahmet Mosque by locals. It is also called the Blue Mosque because of its amazing interior of blue tiles illuminated by its 260 windows. It's purpose was not only to serve as a mosque. It also used to be a place for burial, a hospital, a religious school, a market and even a public kitchen.

This palace I really enjoyed it. The last 6 sultans of the Ottoman Empire lived here. Visit the sumptuous interiors, admire the architecture and rest at the great gardens facing the Bosphorus.

The Grand Bazaar also called Kapalıcarsi is an interesting place to visit if this is the stuff you like. A lot of local artifacts shops and spices. But I didn't feel safe at all and everyone chased you to sell you something.
