Getting TO/AROUND: I never really noticed these Smart cars until my sister came for a visit and fell in love with them. They come in all different colors too.

Getting TO/AROUND: Check out the site, it's not so fab and the info is not always that great unless you can read French...whether it be Eurostar, Thalys or TGV you will have to deal with the SNCF. Les cheminots as we say in French. In Zola's Rougon-Macquart series this is where you would find Jacques Lantier son of Gervaise Macquart (L'Assommoir) and Auguste Lantier, brother to Claude (l'Oevure), Etienne (Germinal) and half brother to Anna Coupeau (Nana), you simply must read Zola's novel "La Bete Humaine" when you travel by train. If only to pass time when they are on strike. It is only so fitting that Jacques was a "cheminot" on the route from Paris to Le Havre, in my Normandy...

pchamlis Sat May 23, 2009 02:26 UTC Lovely look at your hometown, Emily. Loved the restaurant tips, and the Ag Fair sounds interesting as well... sausagemakers, winemakers, cheesemakers. Merci. :) | glabah Wed Feb 18, 2009 20:43 UTC What wonderful photos of Paris! What a wonderful view to have when you wake up. You were featured on the VT home page when I logged in, and I'm glad I stopped by to see what you had. | nyperose Wed Oct 1, 2008 17:58 UTC I love your Paris pages. I used to live in Belleville when I was studying French more than 20 yrs ago. Your page brought back old memories:-D | tiabunna Wed Apr 30, 2008 08:27 UTC Paris VT pages are always enjoyable, you're fortunate to live there. Now you have posed a problem for me: to next visit during the Agricultural Fair or the Salon du Chocolat! :)) |
