Other reviewsmade this hotel sound like paradise. It wasn't. It certainly does look beautiful- the rooms were a lovely size with comfortable beds and great air conditioning. All room on the sides have a reasonable Nile view. We were on the left hand side which is next door to a public swimming pool. Very noisy until past 10pm. We stayed for a week and during that time there was a prizegiving ceremony and a wedding celebration held there (the latter at midnight on our last night) The staff were all efficient but were never really friendly or engaging, with the exception of the pool attendants and the fruit juice man at breakfast. I have visited Egypt 7 times now and have concluded that they really can't do breakfasts- this place is no exception unless you like eggs. I had a pleasant week and would stay there again, but please don't expect amazing- you won't get it.
Unique Qualities: Lovely big pool and pontoon area to watch the sun set. Get feluccas and motor boats from here, you get a great deal. Delicious icecream, although you don't get much in your cone. Huge, comfortable sunbeds!
