Located in the region of St. Paul's Bay which consists of 3 small towns: St. Paul's Bay, Bugibba and Qawra, Bugibba - Qawra was our home for a week while exploring Malta.
Together with Sliema and St Julian's, both located on the north coast, Bugibba and its extension Qawra are the best summer destinations in Malta and perfect starting points for the tours around the islands.
During the day, Bugibba is probably not very impressive, dominated by unregulated buildings such as hotels and prefab rental apartments, but in the evening it comes alive and colorful lights and loud music invade the streets around Plazza tal-Bajja. |
