Getting TO/AROUND: Only half an hour by train separates Treviso from Venice. Today, due to its location and the existence of the airport, Treviso is an important connection point between different cities in Italy and foreign countries. The train station is on the southern side of Treviso's old town and close to Piazza dei Signori. For the travelers in transit, the station offers luggage boxes and easy access to the town.

Getting TO/AROUND: As in other Italian cities, a bus fare in Treviso costs EUR 1- and the ticket is valid for 75min from the validation. Piazza dei Signori is free of traffic but the buses are stopping in the nearby Piazza del Duomo. The tickets can be bought from the hotels reception.

Transportation: Treviso Airport

'Mode': TO

Getting TO/AROUND: The small San Giuseppe Airport is located in via Novalese 63, 3 km away of the city walls. This airport is mainly used by low cost and charter flights to and from London (Ryan Air), Paris, Canarie Islands and Amsterdam as it is only half an hour away from Venice. There is a direct bus from the train station to the airport, but I always prefered to take a taxi which, considering also the short distance, is convenient. The only problem is at the arrival to Treviso, as there are no taxis in the airport and you have to order by phone.

suvanki Sun Jan 4, 2009 02:13 UTC Hi! your tips and pics of Treviso are great-a pity that you didn't get to see inside Chiesa di S. Martino (the round church) I loved it-a great surprise. Best Wishes, Sue | lotharlerch Sun Jul 13, 2008 11:51 UTC Great Treviso page. at the beginning it was for me only an overnight stay alternative when visiting Venice but later I noticed its outstanding charme. I come back - and if it is only for a short stroll and an "ombra" | Maurizioago Tue Dec 18, 2007 18:11 UTC Very good page. Ciao! | matcrazy1 Mon Feb 12, 2007 21:37 UTC Great presentation of beautiful architecture + info (I didn't know that tiramisu is from Treviso, too! I am lucky to find Molinetto di Treviso :-). Haha, once i stopped in Treviso and took short walk around, the only picture I took way just by the mill. |
