Small fisherman harbor, located in the heart of the Teke Peninsula or ancient Lycia, Kalkan is a beautiful and fascinating Mediterranean town.

With wonderful old houses with crumbling wooden balconies, spilling with begonvillas, Kalkan is a mixture of Greek and Turkish architecture.

Kalkan is also a perfect location for exploring the historic sites in the surrounding area: Tlos, Xanthos, Kekova & Simena, Pinara, Patara, Arycanda and many others.

Kaputas beach is a stunning and cozy sandy beach about 15 min away, while Patara has the perfect golden sand in this area.

But Kalkan is such special place that all the persons that had been there felt in love with this small town and came back again and again.

Kalkan and area looks like a wonderful place to spend a vacation - turquoise waters, pristine beaches, roof-top terraces and sipping Turkish coffee. Sounds good to me.
