Getting TO/AROUND: The shuttles are definitely the best and the cheapest means of transportation for arriving to Paris from Beauvais-Tille Airport. The airport is located at aprox. 90 km from Paris and it takes around 1h and 15min. The departure/arrival of the shuttles to/from Beauvais Airport is located at the bus park on Boulevard Pershing, near the hotel Concorde Lafayette. The metro station is Porte Maillot, line 1. From Beauvais the shuttles are leaving 20min after each flight arrival, while from Paris the shuttles are leaving 3h before each flight departure. The ticket costs EUR 13- one way and can be bought from the airport (on the right side of the exit), from the driver or on-line using the following link (available only for several countries): www.aeroportbeauvais.com/index.p hp?lang=eng

Métro: Paris Metro network

Getting TO/AROUND: The Paris Metro network is very well developed and very easy to use although the first impression after seeing a map is that it?s almost impossible not to lose your head in the thicket of the 15 lines. Metro stations can be found near almost all the most important interest points and changing the lines is simple as in all the stations are plenty of signs indicating the right way to the correspondence station or to exit. The first metro line in Paris was opened in 1900, from Porte de Vincennes to Porte Maillot, which currently is line number 1. I was very surprised to notice that the distance between the stations is quite short and you have to be very careful not to miss the entrance some stations the M sign does not exist. The cars are clean and on some lines (e.g. line 1) modern. Free maps of Paris transportation network (metro, bus, RER) can be requested to the pay desk in the metro stations. One way ticket costs EUR 1.4-.

Herkbert Thu Jun 26, 2008 20:05 UTC Diana.. Beautiful pictures and great tips. We are going in December and will spend Christmas in Paris. I can't wait. Tom | clementine31129 Sun Jan 27, 2008 16:41 UTC I have heard about the Hotel des Sens, and was wondering if it is necessary to pay any admission of any sort to visit the gardens, as I have heard they are lovely. Thanks for your help! | Fam.Rauca Sun Jan 20, 2008 19:39 UTC Hi Diana! Your page is very interesting and the photos are excellent. Is a great performance to be on the fifth place, but your Paris page is a very good work. Gabriela | ashluvsu Tue Jan 15, 2008 13:15 UTC your pictures are so beautiful |
