Restaurant Name: The Point Bar (L'Aqua Rhum)
We stopped to this bar to have a drink after a nice evening walk on Champs-Elysees. The bar is located on the second floor of the building and beside the special cocktails prepared by the barman we also enjoyed a magnificent view of this famous avenue. The atmosphere is friendly and the music is very good. The building is also housing at the ground floor another famous brand La Brioche Doree, offering a wide range of pastries, sandwiches and pizzas, and on the first floor Haagen Dazs Cofee shop offering a tasteful range of special ice creams. Prices: Hot Chocolat - EUR 5.75 Beer - EUR 6.5 Cocktail Frais (Strawberry cocktail) - EUR 9

Crepofolie's - Creperie Preface: Crepofolie in Montmartre

Restaurant Name: Crepofolie's - Creperie Preface
We stopped to this small and intimate creperie during our walk in Montmartre. It had only 6 tables and it was so small than there was no other space even for a neddle, but it seemed so well fitted in Montmartre's scenery. Of course the main dish consisted in the famous French crepes (all kinds of crepes), but there was also a wide range of salads and quiches accompanied by Cider. The lady taking care of the creperie seemed to us a bit cold and distant, but we identified this as the typical french attitude as the place was full of foreigners and no one received any smile from her. At least during our stay there... Prices: Crepes with cheese or with ham and ananas - EUR 7.5-9 Crepes norvegienne (with Salmon) - EUR 11.5 Crepes Indiana (with chicken, spinach, cream and curry) - EUR 11 Caffe au lait _ EUR 3 Beer - EUR 3.3

Restaurant Name: Le Solail d'Or Cafe
This nice and elegant coffee shop is located near Notre-Dame and the hot coffee we enjoyed here after climbing the tower of the cathedral was perfect, considering the cold weather and the rain outside. The atmosphere is pleasant and the waiters were very polite and prompt. It's the perfect place to admire the Seine and taste a good French coffee. Prices: Caffe creme - EUR 4.5 Espresso - EUR 2.5 Double espresso - EUR 4.5 Chocolate Grand Cafe - EUR 6 Crepes - EUR 4.5

Restaurant Name: Hippo
With more than 71 restaurants, Hippo is a well-known brand spread all over France. We have tried the restaurant located in Les Halles and, although it was a Friday night and the restaurant was full, we had a really good time and we enjoyed a very tasteful food. Here is what we have tried (pictures attached): Menu HippoDuo - EUR 14.5 (First + Second or Second + Dessert) Assiette de Mezze (Salade d’aubergines, Tarama, Hounous and Tzadziki) - EUR 9.9 Second: Brochette de boeuf or Blanc de Poulet au Grill ou Piece du Boucher Dessert: Creme renversee or Coupe delice or Mousse au chocolat noir

Restaurant Name: Paul Boulangerie
I have to admit that I had no idea about what quiche-lorrain means (or better tastes) before going to Paris. But now thinking back... hmmm... how much I'd like to taste another one. A ham, cheese and eggs pie, the best quiche-lorrain I've eaten in Paris was the one bought from Paul Boulangerie. A famous French brand, Paul is offering a wide range of pastry, different types of bread, sandwiches and sweets. Certainly not a thing to be missed in Paris... Prices : Quiche-lorrain - EUR 2.85 Cheese and Ham Sandwich - EUR 4.5

Herkbert Thu Jun 26, 2008 21:05 UTC Diana.. Beautiful pictures and great tips. We are going in December and will spend Christmas in Paris. I can't wait. Tom | clementine31129 Sun Jan 27, 2008 16:41 UTC I have heard about the Hotel des Sens, and was wondering if it is necessary to pay any admission of any sort to visit the gardens, as I have heard they are lovely. Thanks for your help! | Fam.Rauca Sun Jan 20, 2008 19:39 UTC Hi Diana! Your page is very interesting and the photos are excellent. Is a great performance to be on the fifth place, but your Paris page is a very good work. Gabriela | ashluvsu Tue Jan 15, 2008 13:15 UTC your pictures are so beautiful |
