We took the budget flight FLY540 from Zanzibar to Nairobi.We had heard the airport in Zanzibar could be a bit chaotic but we didn’t have any trouble at all. We had a pleasant trip all in all and we felt comfortable arriving in Nairobi as we had been here only a couple of weeks earlier so now we are familar.
We met Moses from Mics Tours the evening before our trip in and our hotel lobby. He’s an interesting man . He is a Masai and showed us scars on his leg from a lion he killed by spear to fulfill his tradition as a young warrier

In the morning we set off for the first part of our safari with our guide, Samuwell who is also Masai. He’s soft spoken but a very talented and caring man. We were often amazed that he could spot even the most well hidden animal.
Our drive took only a couple of hours and we arrive at Tsavo West through the Our African adventure began in Kenya.Travelling with Samuwell our driver/guide from MICS Tours we did our best to see as much of incredible Kenya as we could two weeks!
The stories below are an attempt to outline our adventure and capture our memories.
