| | Bratislava is an interesting and historical city .Starting in the 6th century, Bratislava was inhabited by the Slavs. It’s compact size makes it easy and convenient to get around. It is the Capital, and the biggest city in Slovak republic. The population is approximately 450 000. The city spans on both banks of the second longest river in Europe, the river Danube. |
| | Bratislava still shows the signs of years of communist rule with institutional looking buildings and strange contructions. It is a city of old and new. We really enjoyed the cobble stoned, pedestrian plazas and the wonderful ancient architecture. There is a vibrant cafe' scene here that made us want to stay longer. |
