Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and with an estimated total population of over 400,000 people it is the largest urban area.
It is a very interesting and inviting city to visit and is still not over run with tourists!
It is a city on the mend . Sarajevo underwent the longest siege in modern military history during the Bosnian War and of course the scars are still evident. |
| | Turkish Quarter We stayed in the Old Turkish Quarter. Windy cobblestone streets, coffee shops , where people sit for hours over a tiny strong brew. Rich in tradition and culture this is a place you won't want to leave!! |
| | The History The beautiful Latin Bridge is the oldest among the preserved bridges in the city . It is where the assassination of Archduke of the Austrian Hungarian empire Franz Ferdinand occurred and sparked the beginning of World War . |
