Cusco is a fun liitle place to pause on your way to Machu Picchu.
The people are really friendly and although there was very little English spoken there seemed to be enough to get by ( we really have to learn more Spanish!!)
We stayed right off the main sqaure making it very convenient to roam the gift stores and grab a bite to eat . The restaurants are all around the sqaure , food was good and really inexpensive . Coco Tea was on every menu and in the horel lobby. |
| | Touring Cusco Cusco is quite easy to tour ...without a guide . IT's abeautiful ancient city . 3350 meters above sea leavel . There is a the gorgeous Cathedral built in the 1500's right on the Plaza de Armas,
A must see is the famous Inca Wall . It is a short walk from the main square and raelly it is quite incredable . The stones are huge and it is a wonder how they could have been fit togerther so perfectly . |
