We enjoyed our first stop in Brazil very much.
Breathtakingly beautiful ...we caught our first glimpse from the airand couldn't wait to get started.

We stayed in Ipanema not far from the famous beach.
Despite the warnings we read otherwise , we felt completely safe roaming all around the area.

There are many people strolling day and night , tons of shops and restaurants stay open late. Maybe more caution is needed for other parts of Rio but in Ipanema things are peaceful.

Rio has much to offer including wonderful beaches, great shopping , food and famous sites to see.

We felt welcome during our visit and take away wonderful memories of our short but excellent visit.

    I stayed a couple of times at the Mar Ipanema aswell. Nice hotel indeed.
