Kuala Lumpur or K.L. as veteran travellers of Asia like to call it, is a huge city of 1.6 million. It is Malaysia's largest city and is high on the list of most visited tourist cities,seeing over 8 million tourists per year.

K.L. is a hub for traffic around South East Asia and we found ourselves entering and exiting the city several times as we flew to Borneo and Bali.

We only spent one night as the city is an hour fromthe airport making it better to stay put at the airport for short layovers. We saw lots of backpackers spending the night as their best option to stay on budget!!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Lots of entertainment and culture
  • Cons:Very very touristy and the airport is a long way from town
  • In a nutshell:A great spot for entertainment and fun on a lay over

    A short but interestin visit. KL always has something to offer and we will be there again this November. The Central Market draws everyone in.
