And, I need to go again soon. When I went to New York, it was before digital cameras were available for sale. That's how long ago it was when I went. I rememeber it was 5 days and we stayed at the Essex House Hotel Nikko (now called Jumeirah Essex House) which was fabulous with a view of Central Park. One of my most memorable experiences was looking out of the hotel window at sunrise and the trees were glistening in the sunshine.
We did most of the typical tourist things like going to Ellis Island, Going up the New York Skyscraper, visiting Trump Tower, visiting F.A.O. Schwartz, saw the play - Victor Victoria with Julie Andrews, saw Chinatown, shopped at Macy's, saw Times Square, and rode the horse and carraige through Central Park.
Next time, will go to Greenwich Village, SoHo, eat at TriBeCa and see the location of where the twin towers once stood. I really have to go! |
