Whoa, Can Vegas get any bigger? Yes, it can! | View from our room at Treasure Island |
The Vegas Birthday Celebration was a blast! I celebrated my 50th and my daughter celebrated her 21st birthday! How could I have planned that any better? I invited my friends and family to help us celebrate and we had a great time. We stayed at Treasure Island this time. It was a great place to stay. And, the Christian Audigier nightclub at TI was quite a popular place from what I saw. We were on the guest list and my daughter and her friends felt very special as they were led to the front of the line and treated to free drinks. I passed on going into the club and opted to gamble instead. We enjoyed our birthday dinner at Trevi Italian at the Forum Shops. It was amazing! Whoo Hoo! |

| | The time I visited Vegas before was the weekend of my 48th birthday. Vegas is always changing, getting bigger all the time! The hotels are monsterous! And, the streets are now part of the hotel parking structures. The moving sidewalks, escalators and overpass walkways are a nice addition to getting around. I didn't like how quiet it has gotten in the casinos. It was always exciting to hear the clinking of change for the payouts and bells ringing. It seems there are less craps tables to play on and more machines. We stayed at the Venetian. What a wonderful hotel! Downtown hasn't changed much. I had to go see it since I used to gamble downtown all the time. I like how they eliminated the automobile traffic through downtown and now you can leisurely walk across the street from one casino to the next. The ultimate "to do" in Vegas is to see one of the many spectacular shows that are available at many of the major hotels on the strip. We saw the cirque show "O". I loved it! The stage with the built in pool and retracting floor made an amazing show of acrobats diving into the stage. The music was great, too! We also saw the Blue Man Group - very entertaining! If you like to shop - lots and lots of stores! Many of the major hotels now have wonderful shopping areas in them. So, you get a lot of "Bang" for your buck with your stay in Vegas. Two to three days is plenty time to spend there unless you are a serious gambler. Have fun! |
