The only 5 star hotel in Pasadena if you really want to live it up! I can't tell you too much about this hotel just that it's been in Pasadena since 1907. It is part of Pasadena and Los Angeles history. An architectually, beautiful hotel.

The rates aren't too much more than the Hilton so maybe you would splurge a bit and stay at this hotel instead.

Courtyard Los Angeles Old Pasadena: Marriott Hotel right in Old Town Pasadena Courtyard Los Angeles Old Pasadena Review

So, if you want to choose a hotel right in Old Town Pasadena, this is a good one. Located on Fair Oaks, it's a few blocks north of Colorado Blvd.

I have not stayed at this particular Marriott but my boyfriend has when he first moved here. Since he lives in the area, there isn't a reason for us to stay in a hotel in Pasadena.

Hilton Pasadena: Two block south of Colorado Blvd. Hilton Pasadena Review

You can never go wrong staying at a Hilton Hotel. They are usually nice and clean with all the amenities. I have never stayed overnight at this Hilton but the company I work for holds their quarterly meetings at this particular Hilton in one of the banquet rooms. The food is always very good. We also hold our company Christmas party at this Hilton.

Unique Qualities: It's not right in the mix of the busy Colorado Blvd. so you may have to do some walking to get to Old Town Pasadena or the Paseo Shopping Center. It would be a very short taxi ride to these areas so it shouldn't cost too much.

Directions: 210 FWY exit Lake Ave, go south on Lake. Go right(west) on Cordova. On Cordova you will see the entrance to the hotel parking structure. Enter there unless you want to pull up to the front of the hotel which is right around the corner on Los Robles.
