An Island Paradise So Beautiful! Five glorious days we had on Kauai and that was plenty to see this beautiful island. We spent most of our days on the north shore, another day up in the canyons and the south shore. We stayed at the Hilton in Lihue which was perfectly centered to drive around the island. Had a sumptous meal at the Beach House restaurant in Poipu which is located right on the water. Couldn't have asked to have a more picturesque view of the ocean while dining. The night life scene is not what the island is known for so plan to get up early and enjoy the day. |

Isn't this amazingly green! A view along the main road going towards the North Shore. I believe just past Anahola but before Hanalei. We had great weather, not too hot. The humidity was not too bad either. It rained off and on maybe 4 or 5 times a day for a few minutes. |

This is just spectacular! Look what mother nature created for our viewing pleasure! Kalalau Lookout is at the end of the road taking Highway 50 (Kaumualii Hwy) and going north on Makeke Rd. or Kokee Rd. This overlooks the Napali coast.
We finished our Hawaii trip spending a week on Oahu which was surprisingly wonderful especially in Haleiwa! |

aloha! was just in kauai 3 weekends ago... loved it! and stayed at the grand hyatt for 1/5th of the price!!! =P unfortunately never got to visit wailua falls, waimea canyon or the na pali coast... mostly on poipu, lihue and princeville. =\ | rcsparty Wed Nov 21, 2007 22:05 UTC
