Pistoia Travel Guide: 7 reviews and 69 photos
Pistoia is a tiny town that was on our path through Tuscany before we headed into Florence. We needed a place to spend the night and did not have any advance reservations. My Eyewitness Travel Guide for Italy suggested a few spots in the area and we were intrigued with the Hotel Il Convento which was a Franciscan Monastery in a previous life. So, we miraculously found this hotel up in the hills and lucky to find an available room.
We ventured back into town (city center) to have some dinner at a wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed the fact that this was not particularly a tourist town and saw many locals out and about enjoying their evening.
