And, all I want is this | Ahihi Bay in Maui, photo take by Harald |
Hello and thanks for stopping by! I have been on VT for 4 years now and I enjoy every aspect this site has to offer from obtaining travel information, to helping others with travel info, making friends and providing a photo album for my family/friends that is accessible "virtually" at any time.
I've had a most interesting life thus far. More about that in my bio. It's been an incredible journey. "Life is Good" is what the wonderful man in my life always tells me. But yet, as good as life can be, life is also too short. It is my hope, that in my lifetime, I can see the world.
I live about 20 minutes east of Los Angeles but consider SoCal (Southern California) my home. Any given weekend, I'm in Huntington Beach, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Big Bear, who knows! I'm definitely not a stay at home kind of person. I'm always on the go and always wondering where are we going next. |

My boyfriend and I, each year, try to get in at least one if not two or three travel destinations to go to. Going to Maui was purely vacation and unexpected twists such as visiting a friend who lives in Maui and my girlfriend, Lori, and her kids arranging a trip to Maui at the same time was a plus and made for a lot of fun. I don't think Harald and I would have biked down Haleakala if it wasn't for Lori and her kids wanting to go. And, they really like the beach just as much as we do. So, we tried to spend a lot of time in the ocean.
Two years ago, we went to Kauai and Oahu. So far in my experience, all three islands are different and has it's own unique quality of enjoyment. I can't say I have a favorite. Please check out my Maui pages as I have posted lots of pics and tips.
All photos on my travel pages are taken by me unless I specify otherwise. |

| | Traveling isn't always about fun and/or relaxation. My VT friend, Goutam Mitra, recently participated in a great humanitarian effort to provide aid for cyclone victims in Suberbans located in Gosaba, India known as the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. I can tell you, here in Los Angeles, I had no clue such a disaster occurred. Passing information is powerful and I hope you will get a chance to read about his efforts, see his photos and let him know you care. Thank you!

A funny story...Maid wants a raise
Our Mexican maid asked for a pay increase. My wife was very upset about this and decided to talk to her about the raise. The wife asked, 'Now Maria, why do you want a pay increase?' Maria said, 'Well, Señora, there are three reasons why I want an increase. The first is that I iron better than you.' The wife asks, 'Who said you iron better than me?' Maria says, 'Your husband said so.' Wife: 'Oh, and..' Maria says, 'The second reason is that I am a better cook than you.' The wife replies, 'Nonsense, who said you were a better cook than me?' Maria calmly says, 'Your husband did.' Wife: 'Oh, and what else?' Maria says to the wife, 'My third reason is that I am a better lover than you..' The wife (really furious now) raises her voice, 'Did my husband say that as well?' Maria says, 'No Señora...the gardener did.' The wife replies, 'So how much do you want?

Another Story.....
An elderly man had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was deep enough for swimming. He fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts and some apple and peach trees.
One evening he decided to go down to the pond and look it over, as he hadn't been there for a while. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young ladies skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.
One of the ladies shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!'" The old man frowned, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond." Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm just here to feed the alligator." (Some old men can still think fast)
A male patient is lying in a bed in the hospital. He is wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose, still heavily sedated from a difficult four hour surgical procedure. A young female student nurse appears to give him a partial sponge bath. "Nurse", he mumbles, from behind the mask, "Are my testicles black?" Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know sir, I'm only here to wash your upper body." He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, are my testicles black?" Concerned that he may elevate his vitals from worry about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and sheepishly pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his p...s in one hand and his testicles in the other, lifting and moving them to assess their condition. Then she takes a close look and says, "There's nothing wrong with them Sir." The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. That was wonderful, but listen very, very closely...................Are - my - test - results - back? |
