I was doing some research for my incoming Budapest trip at the first days of December 2007. Then suddenly I had an opportunity to visit Kazan! In December!! It was -15ºC in the morning during my stay. But I enjoy every single minute of it.
We haven’t had enough snow since 2005 in Istanbul. And for a snow-lover, Kazan is a paradise. Even it hasn’t snowed much; everywhere was covered with snow, and ice, of course.
Kazan is situated near some big rivers and lakes as Volga and Kazanka. Unfortunately –or luckily- both of them was frozen. I’ve never seen a frozen river or lake before. I wish I could have seen them closer, better walk on them.
