Wangdue

This city is nothing more than a Dzong and a few houses. It has a square as a parking lot and it is surrounded by some stores. There is a school behind the square and that’s all.

The river from the Dzong

This city founded by Shabdrung Ngavang Namgyel as a fort against southern incursions. I've read that he named the city after a boy playing by the river.

    Yeah, I thought you researched pretty well before your trip. Looks like you discovered here one of those very special places where a kind of serenity can be found. The architecture and setting seems great.
