    • I cannot remember when I first saw this thing. But I think it was in a book of Umberto Eco, probably in “Il Pendolo Di Foucault”. He told about this kind of things being used for dark arts. Maybe it is a summon spell.

    • There is a surprise everywhere in this city. Just walk in Venice and let it fascinate you.

    These small canales are in the back streets. We walked too much and I cannot give you an exact direction.

    • Actually we didn’t mean to walk off the beaten path. We had only one day for visiting Venice and the very same day was rainy. So, from time to time we just stuck in the narrow streets. Thanks to Venice being beautiful this much, we always found something nice to picture.

    • I've read something about this strangely designed chimneys. I learned that they are a protection against fire. I cannot understand how they work though.
