Outside of Conakry, Labe is one of the premiere destinations because of the paved road that connects the cities and it's position in northern Guinea. There really isn't much to do here unless you thrive on smallish African towns were everyone sits around waiting for something to happen. There is good stuff going on around though, like the waterfalls about 20km out of the town. Labe is small but pretty easy to manage in. It has a Peace Corps office and lots of N.G.O.'s so you might make some friends while you are there. I was fortunate to find a cute German woman who was working in Labe for awhile. She invited me to join her for a night in Mali... a village not far from the border with Senegal.
