South of China ... Beihai

Beihai has a lot of potential .. But the infrastructure needs some investing. Everything is set up for a big influx of tourists but It's somewhat like a ghost town . Everyone waits for customers but they just don't seem to come. It's kind of sad. The French influence in the architecture is evident being so close to Vietnam .

Beihai Port to Weizhou Is. - Beihai Beihai Port going on to Weizhou Island Transportation (1)

Take the ferry to Weizhou ... 2 1/2 hr ride to the middle of the Gulf of Tonkin ... Interesting place more travel advice
