This city is poised to explode in the next 5-10 years!! There are about 100 high rise buildings going up here now and/or planned for the next year or so. Many Americans are moving here as well as Canadians, Europeans , South Americans and many others.. With no property taxes and huge retirement incentives...... people are flocking here and buying up the place in droves.... The prices are about 50-75% what they are in the US and the quality is very similar foodwise and well as accomodations. Punta Pacifica is going to be the next hot Real Estate area in Panama City ... Here's a view from the Bellagio which has a great view of downtown. The building is so impressive and reasonable with 7000 sq/ft apartments going for 700k ...This development is probably one on the best if not the best in the whole city.

The easiest way to see the canal is to take a taxi to the Miraflores Locks which is a 20 min ride . You must at least have a beer or maybe the buffet at the restaurant here ,.. The view of the canal is great right above the ships .. Interesting day trip ....
