This is where I live: an amazing city

Beautiful Paris

la concorde
There's an awfull amount of rumors about French people being rude or snobish and I really didn't feel that when I arrived here. They were all so nice to me (even though it was at the peak of strong french/american hard feelings...).

Paris is definitly a city where you can live without getting bored so making a choice as to what to crunch on a 4-7days visit... it's impossible!!!

there is more than 100 theatre representations a week, concerts, opera, jazz band playing at the corner of a romantic street, there are hundreds of restaurants to try, wine to taste with "charcuterie"and cheeses. If you're on a tighter budget, you can just walk in any direction, you'll always be at the heart of history.

WALK from Notre Dame to Opera

You can discover Paris on foot without fearing getting lost.

1) get off metro St Michel.
Take a right and start walking in the street of the restaurants (definitly the best place to buy the cheapest souvenirs)
2) eat a crepe (my favorite is the Nutella/banane) I buy right in front of the "bar latino" around 4 euros
3) cross the bridge and visit Notre Dame.

4) Cross the bridge again (to be on the side of the metro St Michel) and go down the stairs.
--> you can go on a nice commented cruise from there
--> or continue walking
5) Leave Notre Dame behind you and walk...just walk and enjoy the breeze, the bridges and the silence. It's romantic...there's no one. You're by the Seine and can sit on a bench, take pictures or wave to tourists packed on cruising boats.

6) When you get to the "pont des artistes" (u can't miss it= it's the only wooden bridge) go up the stairs, cross and enter the "LOUVRES" ...

7) enjoy the architecture of "le louvre"

From there, you have two options:

A) go straight, cross the "jardin des Tuileries". Straight to Place de la concorde et straight to the Champs Elysees

B) about half way through the "jardin des Tuileries" take a right. You'll be on Rue de Rivoli. Try to find the perpendicular that will take you to Place Vendome (the jewelry hotspot). Shop around... You can even take a tea at the RITZ (just for fun... and rest your feet). The only street getting out is "rue de la paix" that will take you to place de l'Opera.
