My Travels | ME - i will find a better picture |
My adventures in travelling have only just begun. Growing up my family would go to places like Majorca and spend day after day tied to a sun lounger next to the hotel swimming pool. To me it always seemed like such a lot of money to spend when you are not going to see more of the country. So now i am over 18 and am able to sensibly make my own choices about where i like to travel to.
My first holiday was to the Australian City of Melbourne with a former school friend of mine, we spent 2 fantastic weeks in her aunties secluded house in the dandenong mountains. One of the best experiences of my life.
The second holiday and which i found the most fascinating was my Week long trip to the Ukraine capital, Kiev (Kyiv). It is undoubtidly one of the most beautiful cities i have ever visited and i highly reccomend a trip there. Soon i will be back in Ukraine, but not just to Kyiv, but to kharkiv, lviv, yalta, odessa etc
I have taken many weekend trips in my own country. The Uk is also a very beautiful place once you get out of the hustle and bustle of the cities, i have enjoyed some lovely weekends away in the popular UK tour destinations in my tips.
In september i travelled to Amsterdam, which is a beautiful city but the cyclists are abit crazy and you have to watch you dont get run over by one!! There are many sites to be seen and i reccomend you have a look in my tips and have a look.
I have travelled to MineHead in Sommerset and have also spent 4 days in the beautiful Prague (see Tips)
Me and my family are currently looking at brochures for a trekking holiday in New Zealand, we are looking to travel in January 2009. If anyone has been on a trek in New Zealand i would love to speak with you to get more of an insight! |
| Red Square Moscow, i have never been but would lov |
|  | Drawing Im really interested in Drawing particulary buildings/monuments or Wild Animals. The picture here is a picture of Moscow's Red Square which i drew. I havnt been to Moscow yet but it is definatly somewhere i would go in the future. I'd also like to visit St Petersburg also to view some of the empressive cathedrals.
Drawing has always been a passion of mine since i was very young, i find it very relaxing and usually when i am waiting for my flights i usually have a small sketch book in my hands. |
And on the 6th day god created man....chester MANCHESTER - My Home City and undoubtidly another one of my favourite cities in the world. Manchester is Home to one of the greatest football clubs in the world, Manchester City!! haha. ok ok. Manchester Uniteds, old trafford Stadium is rather impressive and i would reccomend a trip there but Manchester City is supported by more Mancunians than Manchester United.

Manchester is a vibrant city with one of the best night lifes in the country, but this city has alot more to offer. For the travellers who enjoy art galleries and museums, Manchester has an awful lot to offer. But i would say that, wouldnt i? | | | Locals relaxing in Picadilly gardens |

My Grandfather was born in Kyiv Ukraine and came over to England in the 50/60's. Unfortunately passed away when my dad was three yrs old and was never able to learn about where he came from until i visited in 2006, now i am hooked on this City but would love to travel to other Ukrainian Cities.

| | I met Ruslana when she was promoting in Bolton in Manchester. It was a really great evening. As you can see by the picture i was right at the front of the stage and got to take some great pictures while she was performing. I met her outside the club and it was pouring it down with rain and she was with me for ages chatting to me and signing cd's and photographs and posing with me for photographs. I was so suprised by how nice she was in real life because i really admire her for her music and how patriotic she is for her country. She gave me a Wild Dances Bag and a Ruslana/ Ukrainian flag. a signed photograph and signed my CD.
That was so long ago now, about 3 years ago but i still think its great. It would be better if other foreign artists like Elena Papariziou should come to England because it gives the english fans a chance to meet her! |

| | Wedding Went to My partners brothers wedding at the weekend in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Here is a picture of me (black hat), Rachel, and Nicky and the reception party at about 11:30pm and a little worse for where.
Party took place at Pontefract Rugby Union club.
