That's Lafayette...INDIANA I moved to Lafayette in 2001. First time in the Midwest for a Misplaced Kiwi coming from California.....Bit of a culture shock! However, I have found there is much to be said for the area. Some great restaurants and activities, handy to Chicago and Indianapolis (two International airports to choose from!!) Although the weather takes some getting used to, it at least has the four seasons. A little bit of everything can be thrown at you in one day.
Purdue University is just across the Wabash River in West Lafayette, so you have a mix of blue collar workers, students and white collar workers. It makes for an interesting life!
The Farmers market held downtown on a weekly basis can net some wonderful fruits and veggies. |
