Lost in Beijing

Interesting city, I arived in early march, it was very cold and very dusty. No problems catching the bus into town although on future arrivals this wasnt the case. Bus dropped me off near the railway station and I hit my first problem, I was completely lost. Ended up in a rickshaw because the small boy operating the bike wouldn't take no for an answer. This was a surreal experience, large scottish man with luggage being cycled accross central beijing by a boy, who spoke no english. Cars, lorries and busses all around and not suprisingly when he dropped me off got his payment and left I was still hopelessly lost. Still it was to be the start of a very interesting couple of weeks in China and I grew to love large and I mean large crowds of people.
