We spent a fortnight with friends, in caravans and tents at Le Ridin campsite. We travelled by ferry, Dover to Calais, and motored down from there. We were a party of 21 in all, ranging from age 2 to 78 years old. The weather was mainly good, although it rained steadily on our arrival, and poured down as we left. The immediate area was agricultural land; mainly cornfields, and a large gravel extraction works, with associated lakes. We thought this might give us some problems with noise, but apart from the occassional sound of machinery in the distance, it didn't.
Much worse was the noise from the campsite itself!

Happy birthday and happy caravanning. Think we'll give this site a miss! Our experience of French campsites has been only good.
