Ive traveled to a few African countries but none as freindly as The Gambia if you are looking to experience Africa Here is a great starting point, I have visited twice over the last 10 years, Made a lot of freinds, do take time to get to know the locals its not hard ! as everyone is a guide and a life long freind,But also watch out as many are just interested in your money! also take a box of pencils or pens, notepads etc as the rural Children need them and will run after you smiling and asking for them, The hotel's are good we stayed both times at the Atlantic Hotel, I only wish i had spent more time in Rural Gambia |
| | Fishing As one of my great loves is fishing we took time to charter a boat to go out fishing, we caught a couple of decent fish Barracuda, and gave all but one to our fishing guide. But we took one back to the hotel and had the chef cook it up for dinner that night delicious. |
| | Lazy days As with any holiday its always nice to relax around the pool, and with the beach only a few meters away if you fancied a change, The beaches are controled so you dont get to many beggers or locals selling there wares |
