With some 50 years of travelling experience and ( I didn't bother to count ) some 60 to 70 countries and territories visited I believe I'm a seasoned traveller...... Lately I've calmed down but there were times when I travelled so much that I really can't recall any details anymore because I get dates and sometimes even places mixed up... Most of the time I took super 8 films (in the old days) or videos.... so I'm left without pictures... Also , when I moved from Vienna to São Paulo , I didn't take all the tons of pictures and flms with me.... So... no way I would be able to write something about every trip and every country I visited... nevertheless I'll go slow at it and see what the best is I can come up with..... On this page which is so personal , I thought , I'll present myself and all the main people around me and the place where I live , not necessarily in a chronological order..... some pics are recent , some older...... My picture is allready up there , November 2005 with a cute friendly snake at a b'day party for a kid in my daughters class. So here we go.... My three (adopted) kids who live with me after the divorce... Emanuel Adam (20) , Anna Bianca on her 7th birthday and Benjamin David (17)... taken in April 2005...

I have been knowing Regina since 19 years... As life goes we started to like each other but never got married.... because I was allready...... By the time I was free she said why ruin something by marrying that has been working so well for so long.....? So.... we keep on going but there's no real commitment except because of our three sons......

Well..... my private life is , let's call it , complicated and turbulent......
Since my (ex)wife walked out on me and asked for divorce and since Regina in Rio after all this time opted for "No, thank you..."... when I was like down on the ground... out of nowhere appeared Camila to sweeten my life and make me happy ever since... that's ( by coincidence) exactly 3 years and 3 months ago today.... ( I remember the day I met her because I'm a number person and it was my fathers 102nd (!!) birthday ( June 23rd , 2002 ).
This picture is from July 2005 and Camila and I , both exhausted and sweaty from the unbearable heat are just coming up from Tut Ench Amons tomb in the Valley of the Kings....

For those unfamiliar with Brazilian middle class life standard , let it be known that the "housewife" usually has no house chores at all because everybody has at least one maid..... Now imagine what my situation would be if I didn't have someone to clean , cook etc and take care especially of Anna Bianca , since there's no "housewife" in my home......
So here they are : on the left , Neide , the cleaning woman who keeps the house tidy and clean and even cooks......in the middle Evani , the nanny who also takes care of washing and ironing... Her main "job" though is taking care of Anna Bianca in every aspect.... and on the right is Francisca , who does our manicure , pedicure , hair cutting and sowing.....

We have fish , hamsters , birds and cats.......
This here is our senior house pet by the name of Blacky , 12 years old.....

Rua Cristiano Viana in the Jardim das Bandeiras ( Flag Garden) in the Pinheiros (= Pinetree) District.....
My house is the red one on the corner to the right......
My location is about a ten minute drive from Avenida Paulista or 15 minutes to the real downtown..... I'm lucky though that I live in a socalled Zona 1 , which means , only residences , no commerce , no industry , quiet....

This is Horacio Sabino Square , in front of my house..... A place for joggers , meeting point for dog owners and respective canines , chidren playing, skateboarders , ..... Fully planted with Australian Eucalyptus trees....

In a city with high rises stuck to each other and most families living in match boxes stuck one on top of the other living in a house with no neighbor in front of you is a real treat......
