Ciao a tutti!
Ever experienced to leave your father land and dive into something new? At least I did! Flying from Brussels to Riga. Getting myself on a nightbus to Kaliningrad???ETT = 9.5 hours.
Arriving in a complete NON-western place, waiting for two friend to leave the train from Berlin.
The rest will come later but hell YES I did it!

Many friends, family and colleagues askedme for the reason why to fly to Riga, spend a full day there and then taking a night bus to bloody Kaliningrad of all places.
The Tourist Invitation and Visa costed me in total €125.00 the busses about €30.00 and the hotel Kaliningrad took another €100.00 for what? Two nights in an ugly city where every here and there one can find the remainings of hundreds of years of German civilisation.
Well first of all since I am interested in the follow up of Communism's Collapse and it's influence on East Europe. Second because I am trying to finnish my thesis on the future of Kaliningrad and third because I needed a bit adventure after two holidays this year in Florida and at Tenerife.
