The Normandy family decided to take us to Port-Bail as I said I wanted to get some pictures of an "old church". I wondered at their entertained looks, but realized later that old churches are EVERYWHERE in France.
Had a great time wandering down-town, across the causeway to the harbor, and watching the fishermen from the causeway.
Amazing tides.
Old (REALLY OLD) church that was near where we parked. First part was built around 1100. Old part was very decayed and got some strange photos there.
Newer part had some nice stained glass.
We didnt feel very comfortable there...someone was playing an organ and it was all set up for tourists, but we just didn't like it.
We walked across an old causeway to the harbor. The tide was low and in that area any change in the tide is huge. All of the boats were on mud and sand!
On the way back we stopped and watched fishermen trying to catch salmon in the river. We could see the fish from the causeway.
- Pros:A couple of old churches, cool harbor
