Hanoi is so different from Saigon

The architecture is more French influenced as is the food. The people seemed more relaxed here than they were in HCMC. Hanoi has more fine buildings than HCMC and the streets, at least in the downtown area, are tree lined broad avenues. The people. like most Vietnamese are very friendly indeed. The food is spectacular and one must have Pho -- noodle soup -- for breakfast.
