San Francisco Hotel Tips by dave_worthington

Found this by chance on the web. We expected something basic and it's certainly not in the luxury class, but nor does it pretend to be, but we were unprepared for the charm of this hotel. The bathrooms are shared but there are plenty of them and they were all very clean. The room was small but again spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The corridors were full of plants and the whole was clearly well cared for.

Unique Qualities: The staff were unfailingly helpful and would give advice on parking, sightseeing, where to eat breakfast and many other useful facts.

We certainly intend to stay here again.

Every now and then you find a hotel which is an experience in itself - this, in the best way, was one of them. And if you are on a limited budget, give it a try.

Selected this hotel on the net primarily because of its excellent location.

Pleasant stay - clean room, comfortable bed and quiet! All the makings of a good stay.

Managed to miss the wine tastings as we were busy being tourists!

Staff very helpful and pleasant.

My wife left her keys behind (she is a teacher and seems to carry keys for every lock in the school) and they were posted on to us very promptly. (To the UK)

Without VT, choosing hotels from several thousand miles away was something of a risk, but we were certainly not disappointed with this one.
