Welsh surfers are a hardy breed!

Porthcawl

My parents-in-law live here so we visit regularly.

This is archetypal great British seaside. Not dramatic, not Disneyfied, just sand and sea (and surf in Rest Bay). Excellent ice cream and all the seaside trimmings.

My wife used to come here as a little girl, xx years ago - I tended to go to Barry or Penarth - and she insists that the fun fair has not changed at all since then!
