Walking around Diest

Our group on the way

There are many possibilities to bike or walk around on good marked ways.
We choose a part of the Hageland walking way maked with twoo coulors ( yellow and red).
We discover the neighbourg in the middle of peers and apple trees fuul of beautifull fruit.
We sow also the wijngaards just one day before the " vendanges" begins.

Belgian wijne !!! yes we have !

During the degustation

In a litle town on 8 km from Diest caled Aseent-Bekkevoort, you can test 6 sort of wijne: Müller Thurgau, Pinot gris, Kerner, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc and Red wijne.
It is a A.O.C. area . ( label protected)
We visited the Kluisberg.

You can prof the local beers : Gildenbier or Bos bier in the smalest café caled Bij de Baas (in the boos) . I can see... more travel advice

As a child (beer was safer to drink than water, no bacteria's, my grand father told me) I liked the sweet Diest beer. Does it still exist?
