Situated to horse on the Belgian French border, to only 9 kilometers of Ypres, the mount Kemmel is the first one (or the last following whsh side you are) of all a series of hills that the popular language to quickly does to call "Mounts"
We are here on the "summit" the highest one: 156 m! It is true that the country surrounding is situated to only about ten meters above the sea level.
Here also, as at Ypres, the first World War has leave tracks in all the memories.
Today it is necessary for you have a warned eye to spot the tracks of the passed in the landscape, even here of place in place, the military cemeteries will be as much tragic beacons during your walk.

Interesting look at how another famous WWI site has transformed with time.
Interesting page, looks like a nice place to walk & cycle! Oh yes, Belgium is much more known for beer than for wine, and I had only expected to find wine in the Ardennes.
