One of my favorites

Liège is, without protests, one of my favourite cities: a lot to see, many possibilities, an assured change of surroundings, a rich past, a well living folklore and welcoming people will do your stay an unforgettable memory.

The surroundings are not to neglect: Germany, the Netherlands, the Belgian Limbourg (Tongres, the city more old of Belgium is at only 20 km), the Arden's are very close. The more better will be to have a car, but you can equally choose the public transportations for your discovery.

The Meuse river and the Ourthe river

The passage of the Meuse to the heart of the historic former city is an additional trump adding a certain charm to the visit.

In week the parks and situated gardens of here beyond alongside his journey will allow you to get your breath back.

And on Sundays morning it walked of the Batte market on the quays in turmoil.

On the beaten path : Chèvremont

Situated only to some (12?) kilometres of Liège in following the Ourthe then the Vesdre, 2 tributaries of the Meuse, you will discover the abbey of Chévremont at the top of a hill, huddled within his greenery case.

On Sundays many visitors return for him visits before taking a beer (of abbey) to the tavern restaurant all nearby.
