Zonnebeke: Dugout Experience

Zonnebeke, in the same way as situated Paschendale to only some kilometers, universally is known for the fight having unfolded here during near of 100 days in 1917.

For a gain of some 8 kilometers, not less than 500 000 soldiers of all horizons gave their lives far of their native soil for our liberty.

We never will forget their sacrifice.

Zonnebeke, au même titre que Passendael situé à seulement quelques kilomètres, est mondialement connu pour les combats s'étant déroulés ici durant près de 100 jours en 1917 .

Pour un gain de quelques 8 kilomètres, pas moins de 500 000 soldats de tous horizons donnèrent leurs vies loin de leur terre natale pour notre liberté.

Nous n'oublierons jamais leur sacrifice.

Memorial Museum at Zonnebeke

The museum is situated in the middle of a greenery case.

In fact it is a matter of a former castle in the middle of a park (in enlargement course (May 2008))

The musée is located to the shadow of the church of the town.

Le musée est situé au milieu d'un écrin de verdure.

En fait il s'agit d'un ancien château au milieu d'un parc (en cours d'agrandissement (Mai 2008))

L'ensemble se trouve facilement à l'ombre de l'église du village.

The dependences

In the dependences a community library on one hand and another cafeteria found a housing in harmony with the remainder of the activities of the rest of the area

Dans les dépendances une bibliothèque communale d'un côté et une cafétéria de l'autre ont trouvés une location en harmonie avec le reste des activités de l'ensemble.

Pros:A good idea about what happens here 90 years ago.
Cons:Little difficult with public transport but possible.
In a nutshell:Worth a visit !
