It is the most important beach resort in Argentina, and offers a coastline of more than 17 kilometres with beaches and services according to their hierarchy. It is a modern city in which you can see both sophisticated and popular beaches, modern building conglomerates and residential areas, a busy night life and reflection and peaceful zones. It has an important architectonic patrimony, with buildings belonging to the beginnings of the century. Its numerous parks, squares and gardens, with colorful varied flowers offer the tourist a singular surrounding landscape. The Northern beaches, in La Perla, constitute a classic that integrates to the downtown beaches through Point Iglesia, where a traditional touring area begins and extends up to the Torreón del Monje (Monk's Tower). The Chica and Grande Beaches, the nearest ones to the port, offer a contrast with its rocky outcroppings and beautiful parks, in an attractive tour. |
