"Zurich" a Zürich Travel Page by Subria

Zurich is my hometown and I attend the university there, which is located in the city centre close to the lake. In summer we hang out in the parks arount the lake between the lectures and enjoy the sun and the water.
But Zurich has a lot more to offer:

If you are into culture, there is an opera, a concert hall and some theatres. You can also visit many museums and Zurich is the best place for nightlife in Switzerland with a lot of clubs, bars and cinemas.
For nature lovers there are some forests and green spaces right outside the city borders. For example you can take a 30-minute train ride to the top of Uetliberg, a small mountain where you have a great view of Zurich and the lake. There you can also find some easy trails.

Zurich is also a nice place for shopping. In the old town ,Niederdorf' and along the 'Bahnhofstrasse' there are many shops, but like everything in Switzerland expect things to be more expensive than in other european countries.
After an exhausting day of sightseeing you may need a place to relax, you can find some silent places in the city like the 'Lindenhof' where you also have a nice view of the city or just head to one of the parks on the lakefront.
