Salvador is famous for its beautiful old town, it is called Pelourinho and once was the capital of Brazil. Walking through the pedestrian area you can see old colonial buildings, nice squares, and many restaurants and shops.
On weekends the best place to hang out are the beaches in Barra where tourists and locals enjoy the sun together.
