LAS VEGAS: The Winner Takes It All!

by Krystynn - last update: Mar 19, 2004

The most famous road in the world aka "The Strip"
Las Vegas NEVER sleeps. Well, neither did I. :-(((

I barely could squeeze in 3 hours' of sleep per night during my 3-day sojourn in this glittering casino city. I watched great shows (the "Cirque de Soleil" is absolutely tops!), gazed at the many authentic masterpieces, bumped into Pamela Anderson (well, I did not exactly BUMP into her but had to climb on top of a chair to catch a glimpse of this American icon!), gorged on those excellent buffets, spent some time spoiling myself at a spa AND shopped till I literally needed help to carry my shopping bags back to the hotel (sheepish grin...)....

Oh, and I even made SOME MONEY at the casino too! :-))
Stepping into this high-voltage city is like entering a movie set that spells GLAMOR and GLITZ of an unbelievably grandiose nature, where the scale of most hotels here are sooo unreal and the lavishness of the decor incomparable. It's all too surreal for me,

Walking along THE Strip, a 5.6KM long stretch on Las Vegas Boulevard near McCarran International Airport, was also an experience for me. I'll share more later...
Anyway, have FUN and win some money for us at Vegas O.K.? ;-)))

Footnote: This travel page is written from my very first impressions of this beautiful city on my first visit in July 1997. . I hope you'll find my first time experience useful in helping you plan for your forthcoming holiday. Thank you.

Pros:"Nocturnal creatures & those who love to go casino & hotel-hopping will enjoy Vegas. ;-)"
Cons:"Those who need their beauty sleep & go to bed early... will miss the most fun part of holidaying in Vegas!"
In A Nutshell:"No cash, No AMEX, No bling-blings? No Talk! ;-))"

There are tons of fabulous hotels that are dirt cheap along the strip! I agree with you on MGM, TOO BIG!!

I think I'm seeing more of Las Vegas reading your pages than visiting it!
