Ah, I just looove La Jolla!
The scenic resort community of La Jolla (pronounced as la-hoi'-ya) is located on the coast within the vibrant city of San Diego. It is an exciting mixture of sea cliffs and beachfront, including Mt. Soledad, a very big hill-top that offers great vistas for both the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego skyline.
I was here to attend my best friend's wedding. And no, it's not Julia Roberts'. ;-))
Her name is Carol. And she's the elder cousin of my other best friend, Mitch (short for Michelle). Confused? Yeah, me too.... I have quite a few best friends in my closely-knit circle of friends. Well, everyone of us was excited because we had heard how Carol was swept off her feet by this American hunk... who's an Ivy League scholar from Stanford. Lucky Carol! So, when the wedding invite arrived via mail, our group of girlfriends were delirious with excitement and quickly made arrangement to fly to San Diego, California ASAP to give Carol our moral support. Most importantly, we were dying to meet her Mr Right. hehe... :-))
Carol's brother, Andre was my guide for the entire week whilst I was there. Andre, had by then also moved to San Diego permanently to work (his/ Carol's parents are still here in Singapore though...). I don't think I got to see much of San Diego except for the the usual touristy attractions since we were busy helping Carol most of the time.
If you happen to be in San Diego, you must come over to La Jolla. This place is just oh-so-heavenly!
I'm still in the midst of uploading my pics... Please bear with me for a while... And come back again O.K.? Thanks!
